My role : UX DesignerTimeline: Jan 2024 - Present
The existing website has to
be redesigned to increase user engagement and a new mobile app
has
to designed to increase penetration into the market.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Enhance the UI of the comments section with a simple layout
and filter options for better user experience.
Create a dedicated "Reading List" section that sits alongside
other relevant lists, such as Blogs of Interested Topics, Blogs
by Same Author & Most Popular Blogs.
Design a mobile app that enables writing on the go at ease.
SYSTEMS & SYNTHESIS
User interviews helped in understanding what frustrates readers
like too many comments to read and engage, often forgetting to
read blogs that have already been bookmarked and preference

KEY FEATURES IMPLEMENTED
Comments Section Redesign: Simplified UI with filter options
for improved usability.
Line Sharing to Social Media: Users can select and share their
favorite lines from blogs to platforms like X, Instagram,
WhatsApp, etc., with the blog image as the background and
selected lines displayed prominently in a display font.*
Highlighting and Note-taking: Users can highlight
lines they like or take notes directly within the blog
content.
Your reading list feature: Users can bookmark blogs
they like to read later.
FEEDBACK & ITERATIONS
Many users felt note-taking feature was not required for
blogs as compared to books.
Based on feedback this feature was removed for users to
have a hassle free reading experience.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
The new redesigned interface increased user engagement in
the comments section of the website by 4%.
LEARNINGS
Usability testing showed unexpectedly high engagement with
a filter in the comments section we almost omitted from the
design.
Early feedback from developers prevented potential technical
hurdles later in the design process.
